Christmas in the Netherlands
Also called Kerst.
Plenty of Indian families in the Netherlands mark Christmas, and many more use the week for the thing they could not do in November — the family lunch, the grandparents visiting, the photographs everyone is in.
Dutch Christmas runs to two days, the 25th and 26th, and most restaurants and shops close for both. That is worth knowing before you plan a meal out for twelve people.
